The Town of Dillon is a little Colorado mountain town that’s big on outdoor activities. Summertime is when Dillon comes to life as it offers a variety of activities to enjoy including the annual Dillon Farmer’s Market, concerts and theater productions at the Dillon Amphitheater, live music on the water, and fun-filled days at the Dillon Marina. Home to the Dillon Reservoir, affectionately known by locals as Lake Dillon, water enthusiasts can enjoy sailing, paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing while taking in the spectacular views of the surrounding 13,000 foot, snow-capped peaks of the Rocky Mountains. The Dillon Yacht Club is host to a series of yacht races, including the Dillon Open Regatta. The arts play a large role in the culture of Dillon as there are multiple annual festivals such as the Lake Dillon Arts Festival and the Fall Fest Arts Festival. Dillion also boasts local cuisine with exceptional seafood options, in addition to national chain restaurants. Located just 70 miles west of Denver, the small town of Dillon plays a big part of “Colorado’s Playground” and is enjoyed by locals and visitors from around the globe.
